Mariner Marine Insurance Winter Series 2010

Mariner Marine Insurance Winter Series 2010

The Winter Series is a well established event in the Upto26Club calendar.   Last year, over 50 boats participated in the race series, and the mixture of windward leeward racing and harbour courses makes for a varied mix of competitive racing.

If you didn't go out racing on Sunday, you missed out on the first light day of racing in the series so far.  Congrats to the few that managed to finish in the time limit (and sadly it was only a few).   Results are posted in the quick links on the home page.

Racing continues fortnightly, until 22nd August, with the next windward leeward race on 25th July.  That means there are still 3 race days left, and 7 races.

Want to join the racing?   The Sailing Instructions and entry form can all be downloaded from the racing section of this website, or from PCC. And so you know where all those new buoys are. we've managed to get hold of a draft version of the new harbour buoy map.

Thanks to Mariner Marine insurance and all of our other great sponsors for making this event possible.

Thinking of doing SSANZ this year?

Thinking of doing SSANZ SIMRAD this year?

If you are, and didn't do the first race of the series, you can still enter the individual races.  Website is here and last time of checking, there are 23 entries in the smallboat division.

A SSANZ newbie has joted down a few thoughts from last years racing (with a checklist to help with that safety gear) here.  T-man has written an interesting response too - link.  If you have any experiences you want to add, send them to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
