Racing in Feb 2010

Upto26 Racing in February

We have lots of Upto26 racing organised in February.  

  • The club are participating in the Night Race to Kawau on Friday Feb 5th with Richmond Yacht Club - see here for details

  • As a warm up to the Regatta in March, we are organising 3 windward leewards on Sunady 14th - more details will be posted up on the website early Feb.  In the meantime, if you want more details, contact Peter Worlsley on 021 901 606 or Bob on 027 4832 473 

  • We are racing the Dunder Cup with Devenport Yacht Club on Sat 27th Feb, in the spinnaker division

  • We are joining PCC in their His 'n Hers race on Sun 28th Feb

  • And don't forget that the Richmond Wed night series restarts on Wed 20th Jan.

Club Open day 2009 thanks

Thanks to those who came to help celebrate our 10 year anniversary at the Club Open Day

Many thanks to those who suppoted and helped on Sunday 6th Dec at The Club Open Day held at Bayswater Marina. 

We were delighted to welcome  Trish Lewis with her Reactor “Wishbone”.  Trish has competed in two-handed races to Russell, Tauranga and White Island. Trish has now entered the single handed race from New Plymouth to Mooloolooba (Queensland)!  Wishbone is now equipped to Category One for offshore racing. 


Also there was Zgy, Crocodile, RebelYell, Cantara, Strawberry Letter, Nocturne and  Adagio 2.  Well done to Peter from Cantara as well as Brian from Adagio for winning the fishing gear.  Many thanks to Bob for the barbequed sausages, despite getting there so late having run out of fuel just outside Westhaven!
